2026 January Meeting and Open Weave
We had a great turn out for our first 2026 on January 17th with a meeting and open weave event. Lots of fun and laughter while we were weaving and socializing. Hope to see all our members at the February heart weaving event.
2025 OVBG Christmas Party
A Magical Holiday Party! Thank you to everyone who made our annual party so special! A heartfelt thanks to Georgann for hosting us in her beautifully decorated home, and to Vicky for running the fun gift exchange game. Oxford Lane Library
What a wonderful evening at the Oxford Lane Library! On October 20th, 2025, we were thrilled to host 20 talented students for our Napkin Basket Class. Everyone did an absolutely amazing job on their projects. A special thanks to Peggy, Margie, Vicky, Cindy, Ben and Beverly for facilitating this class and the incredible library staff for making it all possible!
2025 Gathering of the Guilds
On September 13th, we participated in the Gathering of the Guilds, sponsored by the Cincinnati Weavers Guild. Our display featured beautiful baskets handcrafted by our members, which were available for purchase. We also offered two fun make-and-take activities—Windmill Knots and Woven Tags—that were a big hit with visitors. Throughout the day, we enjoyed sharing information about our guild and connecting with people interested in basket weaving.
OVBG Annual Picnic
Our Summer Picnic & Weave-In at Paxton Ramsey Park was an absolute blast. From a productive guild meeting and Vicky’s gourd project to a bustling marketplace and a delicious potluck, it was a perfect although hot day for our weaving community.
July New Weaver Class
The Ohio Valley Basketweavers’ Guild had a wonderful Saturday with a great group of beginning basket weavers! The day was filled with laughter, lively conversation, and beautiful finished totes all around. It was also inspiring to see a few of our members sharing their current projects. What a fun and creative day!
Maker Festival – Forest Park Library
The Ohio Valley Basketweavers’ Guild had a wonderful day demonstrating and connecting with others at the Forest Park Library on June 14th.
2025 Appalachian Festival in New Richmond OH
The Ohio Valley Basketweavers’ Guild had a wonderful weekend on May 10th & 11th demonstrating their craft and showcasing stunning handmade baskets!
